A Letter

I have just written myself a letter.  To open on the 27th of next month. 

Dear Kath,

What you are feeling now is going to pass.  The darkness and emptyness and desire to feed until you burst is ... hormonal.  That's all.  What you're feeling is very real ... but know this ... it's just your stupid hormones.  In about 3 days the heaviness and dark fog will lift and you'll be back to feeling "normal" again.

So ... DON'T do what you did last month and be a slave to those stupid hormones.  Be better.  Be kind to yourself.   Don't eat your way through it.  All that will do is make it all worse.  Be better.  Be kind to yourself.  Remember ... it will pass ... it will lift.
